Wordless Wednesday – Starting 2014 In The Best Way!

What could be better than spending January 1st, 2014 with some of your favourite people and dogs?  That’s what we did 🙂  We had 9 Greyhounds and Frankie here and 7 people.  The general consensus is that I can easily fit 7 more Greyhounds in my lounge room and there is still floor space, lol!  And room for me on the couch!  Here are some photos from after lunch.

My wonderful ex-foster dog, Jed, getting loves from Irene.

Jed has now been adopted by Chris and Sarah 🙂  Yay, I still get to see him.

I think Stanley is pleased Jed is officially his brother now!

Asher loved having visitors!

Sonja kindly let me use some of the photos she took today.  It’s not often I’m in front of the camera … just as well, it’s scary seeing photos of yourself, lol!

What a wonderful way to begin the new year!!! I live that you got to see some of your former foster dogs and just hang out. How rewarding to see them so happy.

I wish we had your weather so we could at least hang out with our friends at the dog park, but I am afraid temps are still dangerous until later today. Maybe some
    Liver treats will help. 🙂

    Happy New Year Sue!

Happy New Year! Unfortunately, when it comes to liver, my guys will pick a fight! It’s just a tad too high value to hand out in a crowd.

Wow, that’s some group you have there! I’m so impressed with that photo of all the dogs. I have enough trouble just trying to get my 3 to sit and behave in front of a camera. Happy New Year!

  11. Yes I Know My Dogs Look Funny

Knowing how bleeding hard it was to get two dogs to stand near each other and pose nicely for a Christmas card, that photo of the whole gang is a miracle! Not only did you get them all to hold still, but it’s a great picture. We’re envious!

It looks like you all had a great day! So nice to see a bunch of dogs hanging out so comfortably with each other. Love the Frankie photos – he looks like he’s in 7th heaven! Don’t you worry though, that with all those Greyhounds around he’s going to start having an identity crisis? lol!

    • Greyhounds CAN Sit

I do wonder if Frankie may have a touch of Greyhound in him. His breeding is a mystery. The district where he comes from is renowned for it’s hunting (pigs and deer) and many dogs bred for pig hunting have Greyhound in them for speed. One reason I got Beryl is that Frankie loves all Greyhounds 🙂

Lucky you had such good weather! The UK weather has been very wet and windy. We spent New Year’s Day indoors with our pooches Lily, and our new boy Harry…he embarrassed himself though, by going and peeing on the laundry basket in the bathroom which is a bit out of character for him. He does seem to want to mark the OH’s dirty laundry though!
When we next visit your part of the World, we will be sure to stop by one of your hound events for a hound fix as we can’t bring ours over there.
