All teams that are chosen to compete on the HBS campus will have their business plans reviewed in detail by an extensive panel of professional mentors (prominent entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and executives from the energy industry) and given feedback prior to the day of competition to help polish Participate in the alumni New Venture Competition through one of 15 regional competitions hosted by 18 alumni hub clubs around the world. This year, 32 teams submitted plans to the contest, 24 to the traditional track and 8 to the social enterprise track. The Contest has spawned hundreds of business plans, and winners and nonwinners alike have gone on to implement their plans and start successful enterprises. Examples A business plan must not be an albatross that hangs around the neck of the entrepreneurial team, dragging it into oblivion.
