How to make a resume with indesign

Jul 03, 2017  A important part of doing this is creating a CVResume. There are many ways to do this, in this lecture I do a live demo of how one can create a CVResume using Adobe InDesign.

The entire class is an hour, but If you want to recreate the resume in the tutorial, use the color theme in the Resume library. In the CC Libraries panel, scroll to the Color Themes section to see all the themes you can use. Press V and choose an area of the resume like the icons and click a color swatch in the theme. Write down your Application, take a look at the image to form an idea on how to structure it. Most of the text should be written in Standard Paragraph, except the receiver's name and the subject.

This two should be in Standard bold. Add some color to make your resume pop! We added the color of our circles to all of the titles to create a cohesive, simple look. To copy a color, just copy the hex color code, highlight the text you want to recolor, double click on the T, and paste the code. Add some icons to draw attention to your qualifications. If you want to recreate the resume in the tutorial, use the icons in the Resume library. Choose Window CC Libraries to open the CC Libraries panel.

Click the menu at the top of the panel and choose the Resume library. If youre applying for that dream role, make sure your resume design is up to scratch. This free InDesign template is stylish and sophisticated, with a gridbased layout, modern border detailing and elegant serif typography.
