Black & White Sunday – The Cabbage Trees Have Spoken!

The cabbage trees (Cordyline Australis) are flowering well which is a sign that it’s going to be a long, hot, dry Summer.

Hot Greyhound
Beryl wishes it wasn’t so … 8-30 am in the dunes, we’ve been there for 10 minutes and she has had enough!

Oh no. I so enjoy the beach sequences. It’s hovering just above freezing all day here. The fireplace had been running since we got up.

It’s a good thing that the dog has sense enough to know not to over work in the heat!

Beryl looks stunning in that shot. We’re having our evening walks now mostly after 7.30pm, when it’s a bit cooler… Krissy hates the heat – she’s an Invercargill girl! :-)

It’s getting pretty warm here too. Roy keeps looking for shade when we take him to the park.

Wise Beryl! Have you looked into cooling coats?

I have looked in to them Mr N, but with the terrain she tears around in I think they would be shredded very quickly! We don’t stay in the dunes for long in the warmer weather and have to go early or late as the sand is too hot any other time.
