Life With a Princess.

Beryl would like to thank everyone for their kind birthday wishes and compliments on her lovely new collar and tassel (and her muffins!)

I’ve posted before about Beryl’s predilection for shredding paper.

It’s amazing how far a magazine goes!

So I thought it was a given that the only problem I’d have with Beryl choosing the winner of her Mr Chewy giveaway would be getting the piece of paper off her before it was turned into confetti.  I wrote all the names on big pieces of paper

Frankie wants to choose the winner:)
Threw the entries into the air
Frankie was quick to make a choice!

But because it wasn’t his giveaway I put his bit of paper back on the floor.  Do you think Beryl was interested?  Not one bit.  I gathered the papers up and threw them on the floor again, nope, not a glimmer of confetti.  I thought maybe if I put them in her food bowl she’d get the idea.

Oi, that’s not food:(

Then I got a brainwave … if I put a drop of really nice gravy on each entry she’s sure to at least pick up one piece of paper?

Hmm, interesting smelling paper.

I thought wrong.  I’m pretty sure the problem was that I was giving her the paper, whereas all her shredding has been with stolen paper.  There’s no thrill in making a mess when you’re allowed to, she’s such a diva.

After my morning’s exercise in futility I headed to the computer to find a winner.  It gives me great pleasure to announce the winner for Beryl’s Mr Chewy giveaway is

Trina from My Roo Spot :)  Congratulations Trina.  I’m sure you’ll be able to find plenty of goodies for Shiloh, Dante, Dana and Cali to enjoy.

Thanks to everyone for taking part.  You’re all winners to us:)

Thank you! I feel sure we can find a use for it! I may find something to donate to the greyhound adoption group I volunteer with for their upcoming auction as well. Spread the love.

I have no idea what the contest is but may I borrow Beryl for a day? We have to clear 10 years worth of paperwork next week. Sigh.

When you mentioned the gravy, I though you were going to say Beryl had eaten the entries:)

I love photo number 1. I have come home from work to find that EXACT scene in my living room. Unfortunately, it was a textbook rather than a magazine. :|

Typical. Dogs never want to preform when they are being watched. I thought that the gravy on the papers would be irresistable!

I totally agree with what you did Beryl. If the peoples WANT you to shred paper, don’t do it, ever. It’s most likely a trap.

Bwa ha ha! I can’t believe Beryl foiled your brilliant contest idea. I think you should have written the names on glossy magazine paper. That would have probably done the trick.
