I’ve posted before about Beryl’s predilection for shredding paper.

It’s amazing how far a magazine goes!

So I thought it was a given that the only problem I’d have with Beryl choosing the winner of her Mr Chewy giveaway would be getting the piece of paper off her before it was turned into confetti.  I wrote all the names on big pieces of paper

Threw the entries into the air

Frankie was quick to make a choice!

But because it wasn’t his giveaway I put his bit of paper back on the floor.  Do you think Beryl was interested?  Not one bit.  I gathered the papers up and threw them on the floor again, nope, not a glimmer of confetti.  I thought maybe if I put them in her food bowl she’d get the idea.

Then I got a brainwave … if I put a drop of really nice gravy on each entry she’s sure to at least pick up one piece of paper?

Hmm, interesting smelling paper.

I thought wrong.  I’m pretty sure the problem was that I was giving her the paper, whereas all her shredding has been with stolen paper.  There’s no thrill in making a mess when you’re allowed to, she’s such a diva.

After my morning’s exercise in futility I headed to the computer to find a winner.  It gives me great pleasure to announce the winner for Beryl’s Mr Chewy giveaway is
