Kiwi Ingenuity?

I didn’t take Frankie on Saturday morning when I took Beryl to the vet to get her bandage changed.  He was very disappointed to be left behind:(  When we got home I was surprised he wasn’t at the back gate to greet us.  As I went through the gate I noticed I hadn’t put the dog door into the ranch slider of the flat for him and I immediately thought he must have gotten over the fence somewhere.  Just as panic was slowly taking over I saw him squeeze through the plastic in the ranchslider.  Remember how he jumped through the glass in the ranch slider a few months ago?  I still haven’t gotten glass put back in.  Frankie wasn’t going to lie on the dog couch outside in the sun when there was a comfy flat just a sheet of plastic away, lol.  So he dug a small hole in it just big enough for him to squeeze through.  I had to laugh:)  What a clever boy!

I hope you learned something from all this, Mum, like take me with you next time!!

Well, I was naughty this morning and didn’t take him when we went back to the vets but I did remember to put the dog door in the flat so he was happy enough.

Beryl’s foot isn’t healing as well or quickly as I’d hoped:(  Maybe I’m expecting too much too soon?  Anyway, we go back for another bandage change on Wednesday so fingers crossed it’s looking better then.

I miss Beryl on our walks at the beach.  Apart from her company I don’t have much to take photos of …

A huge hunk of driftwood I’d love in my garden:)
A quite nice sunset
Oh, and Frankie, who decided he’d pose for me:)
But it will be wonderful when we’re all together again:)

Frankie, what a clever fellow you are! I guess he trained you pretty quickly on that one. If I remember right, our friend whose dog degloved her foot had quite a wait for it to heal, but it was a lot slower in the beginning. I hope Beryl’s back out with you soon!

I hope Beryl gets better soon, it’s so hard when they have an injury. I guess Frankie told you what he thought of being left behind but it was nice of him to pose so nicely for you. That piece of driftwood is beautiful; I think you might need a crane to get it home though :),

Here’s hoping your muse gets better soon. Your pictures are always inspired even so. Frankie’s such a handsome and clever boy. Bit of a mischief maker though, isn’t he? ;)

    Love that driftwood, too.
