7 Blasts From The Past

As I mentioned in this post, Pamela from Something Wagging This Way Comes issued a challenge to me to choose 7 of my blog posts covering various categories.  This interesting challenge originated at Tripbase Travel Blog.  You can find the rules here and there is also a list of blogs who have already been nominated here.

This seems to be spreading like wildfire around blogs of all sorts.  One of the rules is to ‘don’t over-think it’, which is good as it’s going to take me some time to decide on most of my posts!  OK, on to the challenge with the first category, which is …

My Most Beautiful Post

That's My Frankie

I’m not sure how to quantify beautiful, by the photos or the post itself.  And I surprised myself with the post I picked.

It’s one I did when I put Frankie in the Magical Mystery Mutts Blog Hop. So it’s all about Frankie, who I sometimes feel is neglected on our blog as it’s mostly about Beryl.

I hope you’ll have a look and check out my boy:)  I’m linking back to my old blog as the formatting is a bit munted for the old blog posts on my new blog:)

My Most Popular Post

According to the Popular Post gadget on my old blog, my most popular post is Are Greyhounds Really That Lazy?  You’ll have to read it to see what everyone thinks:)

My Most Controversial Post

Is one I deliberately wrote a few days ago, titled Stirring the Pot.  If you read it you’ll see why I had to write it deliberately!  And the amount of controversy it stirred up was pathetic as everyone who commented agreed with me, lol!

My Most Helpful Post

Would probably be Some Greyhound Myths, and also a couple more posts I did with some reasons why Greyhounds wear muzzles.  I combined the muzzle posts and along with the Myths post have added them to my menu bar up the top under Greyhound Topics.

A Post Whose Success Suprised Me

This is easy.  It’s one I did about three weeks ago called Enjoying More Winter Sun and is a sequence of photos I took while Frankie and Beryl were snuggling on their couch in the winter sun.  I was thrilled so many people took the time to comment and say how they enjoyed the photos, thank you:)

A Post I feel Didn’t Get The Attention It Deserved

A hard one because I don’t write posts to get attention, they’re for my own personal record of our life bascially.  And I’m always grateful for any attention any of my posts receive:)  You’re probably expecting something very profound and thought provoking, right?  Nope, (I don’t do profound, thought provoking or controversial!) it’s a post called Beryl Can Be Quite EVIL and got very few comments.  Maybe nobody read it because they didn’t think it possible that Beryl can be evil?  But there are some lovely photos of the kids at the beach in it if nothing much else!

The Post I’m Most Proud Of

This was going to be My Most Beautiful Post but it didn’t fit that category and while it doesn’t really fit this one either I’m running out of time as I’m going out tonight:)  It’s called The Battle For Timona Park and there are heaps of fun photos in it of Frankie, Beryl and friends having a blast at the park.  I hope you’ll check it out and have a smile!

Here are the 5 blogs I’m passing the 7 links challenge on to …

My Life With Flyball Dogs

My Little Dog

Hiking Hounds

Little Dogs On Long Leashes

House of Carnivores

I hope you all have fun with the challenge and I’m looking forward to seeing which blog posts you choose:)

And now it’s time for the Saturday Pet Bloggers Hop.

Many thanks to the hosts, Life With Dogs, Two Little Cavaliers and Confessions of the Plume.  The instructions can be found at any of the hosts sites.

Enjoy your weekend!

  1. This is an interesting concept, picking different posts from your own blog. I liked the one about Frankie’s breed. Its one of the best things about owning a mutt, having people guess the breed whenever they ask.

  2. I sometimes feel bad cause Daisy is the star of my blog more often than Bella. But Bella doesn’t like to go out and about and HATES the camera! So, I feel ya on one dog being talked about more than the other.

And, I have totally hit publish by accident before! Ugh!

  3. I love all these posts. You have such a great way of looking at things. Even when you simply share your beautiful photos your blog makes me smile. And, I even learn things! Because of your post on muzzles I got to sound all smart at the local dog park. :-)

  4. Thanks for passing the challenge to us, Sue, we’re both honoured and grateful. It will be hard to make my choices and might take me a week or so, but I’ll get there. Some of those posts I have read, others must be from before I started to read your blog, so I can’t wait to get going with the reading. I love your blog (especially because of your relaxed, humorous approach to life and your two little ‘devils’), so I’m sure I’ll love reading the posts I’ve missed. x
